Very Excited !!

Happy Sunday evening to you all ....

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend, and managed to stay warm. It's very cold here in Melbourne, great weather to stay indoors with a cuppa and scrap, scrap, scrap.
I'm very excited today, as I received my very first blog awards. I received these from the gorgeous Cassandra, who's blog you can see here http://www.cassiesscraps.blogspot.com/. Thank you so much Cassie, it made my day. Make sure you go and check out Cassie's creations, her cards and off the page projects are truly amazing!

The first award is the "Blog Buddies" award, which is very cute, and the second is the "Trendy Treehouse" award.

I'm not sure how many people I'm supposed to pass these on to, so I just chose one. I've been following Ros' blog (www.noteverypicturezperfect.blogspot.com), for a while now, even before I started my own blog. I love Ros' work, and I love taking classes with Ros at Chandon Craft from time to time.

Anyway, thanks heaps to my followers and to anyone who stops by. I love reading the feedback I get from people, it's very encouraging and very much appreciated.

Take care everyone, I hope to have something to show you soon.

*Hugs*

Welcome Back !

Firstly, I must apologise for the lack of posts recently. With everyone in the house being sick, card making has taken a back seat. Anyway, everyone seems to be on the up and up now, so I'm hoping to make some more cards very soon.

Below is a very quick card I made yesterday. I bought a CC Designs stamp a couple of weeks ago, just to have something different to my Magnolias (which I love dearly, and are still my favs!!). This little cutie is called Swiss Miss, and I think she's just gorgeous. I might have to get a couple more, because they are very sweet.

I hope you enjoy this card, and hopefully I'll be back very soon with some more to show you.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
Honor xo

First Card Order ...

A few days ago, a family friend asked me to make a card for a little girl's first birthday, and this is what I made. At first I didn't think I'd be able to do it, as we have had a house full of sickies over the last couple of weeks, and now it's my turn. However, as I hadn't even picked up a pair of scissors in almost a week, I was itching to try something. Making this card was almost as good as the antibiotics I'm on .... lol. It gave me something else to think about, apart from being sick and miserable. Hopefully the person that I made this card for will be happy.

This is just another angle of the card, so you can see the name on the banner. The paper I used was left over from the "advent calendar" I made a few weeks back, from the Three Bugs In A Rug "Savanah" range. The flowers are from Wild Orchids, and the stamped image is a digital stamp from Karen's Doodles. You can view Karen's awesome website here www.karensdoodles.com. Definately a website worth checking out!!

Thanks for stopping by. Take care, and stay well.

Rain, Rain ....

.... go away !! Here is my entry in Bizzy Becs June challenge. The theme for this challenge is "winter". As it's been a rainy weekend here, the title of this card seemed appropriate. You can check out Bec's challenge here http://www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=751. Why not give the challenge a go yourself, you could win some awesome prizes.

Yesterday, hubby and I went to the Good Food and Wine Show in Melbourne, and had an awesome time. It was great tasting some new products (and some old favs), and seeing some of Australia's best chefs in action. We had a great "grown-up's" day, really enjoyed the time out. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone for a fun day.

Well, I hope you've all be having a lovely weekend, and staying warm! Thanks again for visiting.

Take care,
Honor xo

Flower Card

Happy Wednesday everyone!! Here's a pic of my latest card, made with a flower-shaped card from Docrafts (Anita's silhouette card shapes). Once again I've coloured Tilda with my Copic markers ..... I'm definately in the need for some more colours ... lol. The paper I've used is Docrafts (Papermania) "Rose Garden" collection.

I've just enrolled in a class for Copic markers at Chandon Craft (www.chandoncraft.com.au) with a very talented lady called Mandi Klinger, who is one of only three Australian Certified Copic Designers and Regional Instructors. You can view Mandi's blog here www.copicme.blogspot.com I'm very excited to be doing this class shortly, and can't wait to share with you what I've learnt.

I've recently had some help from another very talented lady, Cassandra Bright. Cassandra's work is awesome, and her tips and encouragement have been a blessing to me. I love keeping up with Cassandra's work for inspiration, and you can see her blog here www.cassiesscraps.blogspot.com. I hope you enjoy her blog as much as I do! Thanks Cass x

Cheers for now,
